Abstract

This population-based study was conducted using claims data obtained from the National Health Insurance to investigate the trend in incidence of distal radial fractures in adults in Taiwan from 2000 to 2007. Our results revealed an increasing trend, particularly among women \textgreater50 years of age.

  2. female > male
  3. 2000 1.52, 2007 1.89
  4. marked increase in 50-54 group especially female
  5. DR fx –> hip fx (ref 8, 9)

Epidemiology features
