Cerebral Palsy

Some children exhibit hyperkinetic movements. These are excessive or unwanted movements.

There are different types of hyperkinetic movements: dystonia, chorea, athetosis, tremor. (see this classification).

From the article: “Chorea is distinguished from dystonia due to the apparently random, unpredictable, and continuously ongoing nature of the movements, compared with the more predictable and stereotyped movements or postures of dystonia.”
