  1. prefer ring if using non-traumatized digit: web not too wide, tendon tension
  2. different ways to deal with webspace
  3. any finger possible - little finger least preferred

Foucher toe transfer

  1. skin - dorsal straight, triangular flaps at base
  2. tendons - EHB for dorsalis pedis, sacrifice superficialis
  3. vessels
    1. long
    2. take plantar arch
    3. work both ends till middle
    4. t-for arch recon
    5. both dorsal and plantar
    6. look for 2nd dorsal metatarsal (25%)
  4. veins: superficial, to saphenous, VC
  5. nerve - may be disproportionate
  6. joint - fix in hyperextension
  7. order - bone, tendons, nerve, skin distal, vessels
